martini glass
38-2 is my 3rd place entry to Bombay Sapphire’s 2004 Martini Glass Design Competition. 38 refers to the optimal temperature a martini should be served and 2 refers to the ways the glass can be used.
The outer shell prevents warming the martini and the round base echoes the round base of a classic martini glass. The vestigial stem is another allusion to the classic martini glass shape and serves as a spike for an olive or garnish when used upside down.
